FRIENDS OF BISS MEADOWS COUNTRY PARK
(FoBM)
26th February 2011
Dear Members
We would very much hope that you will be able to attend our Annual General Meeting at Longfield Community Centre in Trowbridge on Thursday 31st March 2011 at 7.30pm.
We have been working over the past year to secure funding to enhance Biss Meadows Country Park. We hope to install a nature trail, signposting, information boards and restore the pond area with improved access for all. We remain dedicated to protecting the rich natural diversity that makes up Biss Meadows Country Park whilst enhancing the Park in a way which allows the community to enjoy the wonders it has to offer.
Our AGM is an opportunity for you to view our plans, see the artists impressions and let us know what you really want at Biss Meadows Country Park. It is very important that we are aware of the Communitys views to ensure that we best fulfil the requirements of the public whilst still considering the needs of the wildlife.
As one of our key aims is to engage young people and help them to enjoy and appreciate nature, you are welcome to bring your children with you to the AGM. Their views are equally important to us.
Please also find attached a copy of the Agenda, financial statement for 2010 and minutes of the previous AGM held on 21st April 2010 for your information.
Nominations for officers and committee members (form attached) must be received by the secretary not later than 17th March 2011.
We look forward to seeing you on the 31st March.
Yours faithfully
Jacky Good
